Friends, colleagues, and now cartoon mischief makers Kill The Noise and Feed Me travel Far Away from their usual sonic stomping grounds in their new collab, released today via their respective imprints Slow Roast and Sotto Voce.
Far Away is built on an epic melody performed by a UK children’s choir and reinforced with a little xylophone action, giving the tune a warm feeling of childhood wonderment and adventure. While it’s a comparatively tame departure for both artists, they brought with them their favorite Earthbound tools from razor-sharp synth slices to wobbly bass growls, which should prove familiar to fans of either artist. The two have worked together before on Thumbs Up from KTN’s Black Magic EP, but never while venturing into such bright, sun-baked planetary systems as is the setting for Far Away‘s uplifting electro-progressive atmosphere.
