Turning a top 40 hit into a standard sounding remix is a pretty formulaic process; it takes a great artist to mix it into a standout track. That being said, LA outfit Hyper Crush are no strangers when it comes to remixing arguably bland pop songs into club-worthy tunes.
Their latest tackling of Usher and Pitbull’s DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love shows that the three clearly have a balanced dynamic and they know how to make the most of it. I have to congratulate them on turning a basic “club hit” into a true dancefloor banger. It’s as if they shot adrenaline into the original and continued to draw the listener in with the promise of more, and by more I mean a gnarly dubstep beat that drops in the latter half of the song.
