British producer Lange has been hard at work in the studio for most of the year as he prepares to release his third album, We Are Lucky People. In an innovative move, he’s been revealing the album track by track, with various hit singles seeing releases over the past several months, as well keeping fans abreast of the creative process via social media and the #weareluckypeople hashtag. Now we at LessThan3 are part of the action, with an exclusive premiere of one of the album tracks.
Superstars features the vocals of US singer-songwriter Shannon Hurley and has some wonderful influences at play. Shannon’s vocal complements the progressive intro before a massive piano riff kicks in. It has hints of prog house, and a touch of old-school about it, but is backed by some wonderful instrumentation and augmented by the vocal, which remains soft yet confident and never threatens to overpower the track. The highlight of the track has to be the saw riff which has a hint of 1999 about it, making it uplifting at its finest and sets out Superstars as a future hit.
We Are Lucky People is out on November 18th and is available to pre-order now. With tracks like Superstars, we’re confident it’ll be a smash.
