EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Stealth Unveils Scrummage

Coming off of his gritty Dire Straights EP on Subtitles Music, London D&B producer Stealth is readying another salvo of tech-infused funk called Scrummage/Nanite–forthcoming on Program Music. The hotly-tipped producer has already notched releases on Liquid V, Renegade Hardware, and Frequency, among many others, and is now poised to make his debut on RAM Records’ white-hot sister-label, Program. The Londoner brings a brazenly sinister sound to Program with his forthcoming EP–certainly one of the label’s most aggressive releases to date. Fortunately, LessThan3 has the exclusive premiere of the explosive A-side cut called Scrummage.

Scrummage is a dark and funky workout, offering up a primal groove accented by a harsh synthetic melody and a guttural bassline. Starting with a foreboding intro, Scrummage quickly segues into a pattern of rolling snares and transient synth-stabs before unloading the might of its weighty sub-frequencies. Briefly retreating into a haunting breakdown mid-way through, Scrummage only idles for a few seconds before rolling back into a full compliment of frenetically-paced drums and growling synths. Stealth has definitely crafted a hand-grenade for his Program debut. Scrummage/Nanite will be released on August 19th via Program Music and can be pre-ordered from iTunes by clicking here.
