It’s been a few months since Dutch trance legend Estiva collaborated with up-and-coming Texas-based producer Cardinal to create Wait Forever. The original release featured two mixes – a big-room anthem courtesy of Estiva and a deeper, more progressive offering from Cardinal. It made for a diverse release, appealing to a wide range of EDM fans, but now it’s time forsomething new, something more energetic, and it comes from the studio of Daniel Kandi.
As you’d probably expect, this latest mix is uplifting trance at its finest. Starting with a nice stomping build, we’re soon treated to the vocals of Arielle Maren. There’s a hint of Justine Suissa about her voice, which works perfectly with this style of trance, almost as though the vocals were written for this mix rather than the originals. The break is the massive hands-in-the-air style we’ve come to expect from Kandi – big pads, pucky-synths, some crazy reverb and delay on the vocals – but it’s that square-style melody that really makes this track work. When it drops, it’s clear Kandi has turned what was a decent track to begin with into a true trance anthem.
