It’s Friday, which means it’s time for your dose of uplifting goodness, as Entranced brings you more of the week’s best new trance music. This week we’ve got top tunes from the likes of Paul van Dyk, David Gravell, and a stunning rework by the legend that is Chicane.

Chris Metcalfe & Allen Watts – Bermuda (Original Mix) [Monster Pure]
First up this week a nice bit of pure euphoria, rather fittingly released on Monster’s Pure sub-label. Bermuda sees the UK’s Chris Metcalfe team up with Dutch producer Allen Watts, for some pounding rhythms, rolling basslines, and bucket-loads of massive synths. Bermuda is the second collab between the two, after their enormous 2014 anthem Breakthrough also released on the Monster family. Grab your copy of Bermuda here.

David Gravell – The Last Of Us (Alexander Popov Remix) [Armada Captivating]
David Gravell’s 2014 smash The Last Of Us gets a gritty big-room makeover courtesy of Russian producer and fellow Armada star Alexander Popov. There’s plenty of uplifting credentials in the build, but when this one drops, it’s all about those distorted chords. Nicely balanced either side by some delicate synth motifs, and some serious bass power, Popov’s take on The Last Of Us is suited to some peak-time mainstage action. Gravell certainly has chance to road test it, as he’s playing the Armada Beach festival in Ayia Napa at the end of August alongside the likes of Cosmic Gate. Grab your copy of The Last Of Us here.

Driftmoon – Buffalo (Original Mix) [Driftmoon Audio]
Prague-based producer Driftmoon continues to kick out some massive tunes on his eponymous label, and his latest creation is the festival-friendly Buffalo. This one treads a line close to the big-room house sound, but remains resolutely trance at heart. Those acid-style bass sounds have a hint of hard house about them, while the production is silky clean and solid, a testament to Driftmoon’s skills in the studio. The man himself is rather busy in the coming months, with shows in his native Prague–alongside Aly & Fila–and supporting Markus Schulz and Paul Oakenfold in a special Luminosity event in Amsterdam which sees Perfecto and Coldharbour go head-to-head. Jody Wisternoff feat. Sian Evans – The Bridge (Chicane Rework) [Anjunabeats]
It would be fair to say that The Bridge is one of the stand-out deep house tracks of the year, and now it’s also in line as one of the top trance tunes of 2015 as well. Nick Bracegirdle, better known as Chicane, had something of a challenge on his hands with this one, but he’s done amazing justice to Jody Wisteroff’s sublime songwriting, working with the basic ideas of the original–simplicity made into perfection. Nick also makes full use of the fantastic vocals of Sian Evans, the choral nature somewhat reminiscent of Chicane’s classic Saltwater. Grab your copy here, and don’t be surprised if this is featured in plenty of end-of-year charts.

Paul van Dyk feat. Sue McLaren – Lights (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) [Ultra]
Rounding things off this week is German superstar Paul van Dyk, and a brilliant remix of his new track Lights courtesy of Giuseppe Ottaviani. The original is a great tune in its own right, but Ottaviani turns it into an absolute belter. Utterly rammed with energy from start to finish, this is proper hands in the air material, helped along magnificently by the vocal talents of Sue Mclaren. If you want either of these guys in the flesh, they’re both playing Ibiza in early September, Paul at Cream Amnesia and Giuseppe at Privilege for Connect, and Mr. van Dyk is also preparing to blow the roof off the Pepsi Max Arena at Creamfields on Aug. 30.
