Another week, another dose of the finest new trance music from around the world. For the 26th edition of Entranced, we bring you new music from the likes of Binary Finary, Orjan Nilsen, Simon Bostock, and more.
Dan Thompson – Mutiny (Original Mix) [Coldharbour]
Kicking things off this week is British producer Dan Thompson, who returns to Coldharbour in the wake of his recent smash Stealth, with his latest effort Mutiny. Dark and brooding with a healthy dose of uplifting gluing it all together, this is modern driving trance at its finest. With support from the big guns including Coldharbour boss Markus Schulz himself, you can be sure to hear much more from Dan Thompson in the future. Get your copy of Mutiny here.
Harmonic Rush & Binary Finary – Rise (Original Mix) [Rise]
A hammering piece of good, old-fashioned uplifting next, as trance legends Binary Finary team up with Iranian producer Harmonic Rush for Rise. Named for the label it’s released on, the track was conceived at the launch of the brand in Sydney, the trio hunched over a laptop in the back room, fervently writing the basis of the track. Six months later, the full epic majesty that is Rise has finally seen the light of day, so it would seem rude not to grab your own copy and whack it up as loud as your system will go. Get your copy here.
Orjan Nilsen – Now We Are Talking (Original Mix) [Mainstage]
You can be sure that when the “human arpeggio” Orjan Nilsen fires up one of his synths, something pretty special is going to come out of it. That’s certainly the case with his latest track Now We Are Talking, a solid piece of main stage trance, rather fittingly released on W&W’s Mainstage imprint. Full of the killer melodies and goosebump-inducing production we’ve come to know and love from the Norwegian producer, this one is primed and ready for a summer of festivals, but it should sound just as great in your headphones, so get your copy here.
Philthy Chit – Reflect (Original Mix) [Perfecto Black]
A relatively new name on the scene, Manchester-based Philthy Chit certainly doesn’t sound like someone who’s only been producing for a few years. With old-school prog-trance vibes and hints of Sasha running at the heart of his sound, not to mention his solid production style, you’d be forgiven for thinking this guy had been around for a couple of decades. It’s perhaps fitting then that he’s found a home on Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto label, as it continues to celebrate 25 years on the scene. Reflect is an utterly sublime piece of progressive trance–chilled, moving, and wonderfully soulful–it’s also getting a hammering by the big names. Join them by getting your own copy here.
Simon Bostock feat. Becca White – When We Collide (Club Mix) [Monster Force]
Another nice and pounding uplifter to round things off this week, as British trance veteran Simon Bostock bounces back onto Monster Force with When We Collide. Featuring the vocals of Becca White, alongside a classic uplifting build and drop, there’s a nice dose of decent songwriting going on at the heart of this one, with a feel-good vibe and a topline that should get the proper trance fans singing along. It’ll be smiles all around when this one is dropped in sets over the coming months, and you can grab your own copy here.
