Once again, Entranced provides your much-needed dose of trance just in time for the weekend, with plenty on offer from some big-name collaborations to a very interesting take on psy-trance.
Husman – Exodus (Original Mix) [Armada]
First up this week is Armada regular Husman with his latest effort Exodus. Renowned for combining trance, electro, and big room, the Dutch producer has taken things on a more uplifting route this time around, with some big and bright melodies that should put a smile on your face. The build features some gritty, dirty synth sounds, but after the break–with it’s sublime ethereal vocals–it’s about as feel-good as it gets. Exodus is out now on Armada Captivating.
Mark Sixma – Vendetta (Original Mix) [Armind]
Mark Sixma is firmly establishing himself as one of the most respected names in trance with hit after hit emanating from his studio. Vendetta is another one to add to the list, with the quality as high as ever. It’s a solid stadium banger with huge riffs, stomping percussion, and mountains of reverb–another track designed with those massive ASOT events in mind. It’ll sound just as good in your headphones though, so grab it now.
Make One – Syndrome (Original Mix) [#Goldrush]
Ben Gold’s #Goldrush label is quickly becoming a reliable source of decent music for serious trance fans, and their latest release is another prime example. Syndrome is the work of Russian producer Make One and is full-on uplifting trance at its finest. With a killer melody and some stunning production value, it’s certainly worth a listen, so get it now via Beatport.
Steve Haines & CBM – Memphis (Original Mix) [Perfecto Black]
Perfecto Black is the newcomer to the Perfecto family, but it’s already kicking out some solid tracks that do justice to the legendary name. Their latest release sees CBM team up with British producer Steve Haines to create Memphis, a dark and moody piece of progressive trance with heaps of psy thrown in for good measure. It’s odd to hear the acid lines of psy trance trucking along at a steady 130 BPM, but Memphis is proof it can work perfectly. Get it now from Beatport.
Super8 & Tab with 7Skies – Rubicon (Extended Mix) [Anjunabeats]
Rounding things off this week is a collaboration that should get the pulse raised simply by reading the names involved. Super8 & Tab and 7 Skies are Anjunabeats legends in their own right, but now they’ve joined up to create Rubicon. First appearing on Super8 & Tab’s 2014 album Unified, Rubicon is a stellar mix of classic uplifting builds and massive big room drops. All three producers know their way around a synthesiser, and it certainly shows with everything from huge JP8000 melodies to filthy bass riffs on offer–perfect for a peak-time set. Rubicon is out now on Anjunabeats.
