Electric Zoo, ‘Dexter’ Creator Demo Dangers Of Drugs In Video PSA

After a series of tragic incidents ended the festival a day early in 2013, Electric Zoo officials launched the Come To Life campaign today to discourage drug use and promote safe partying habits.

The push is built around a video PSA (below) directed by Dexter creator James Manos, Jr., in which a sweaty, socially awkward festival-goer demonstrates the dangers of drug abuse, including potentially looking like a complete fool, among other things. Keep a trashcan nearby, because one watch made us feel nauseatingly uncomfortable almost immediately.

The rest of the Come To Life (CTL) campaign, “is about rolling life, not face,” promoting abstinence and moderation while attending events by including breaks and tons of fluids with electrolytes. EZoo will have medical tents and help centers at the ready offering liquids and assistance to anyone in need when the gates open Aug. 29.
