Booking agency Elastic Artists announced that it cannot make payments to its clients, citing “financial difficulties.”
According to Resident Advisor, a letter sent out to the company’s clients outlined the agency’s financial woes. The company is “currently experiencing financial difficulties which have meant we are unable to release monies to clients for shows that have already taken place… We are exploring options to restore the company’s liquidity and to transfer the ownership of the business to a new team.”
The agency, who currently has the likes of Innervisions bosses Dixon and Ame (pictured left to right, respectively), Evian Christ, Brenman, and more on their roster, states that none of the “existing team of agents nor the company’s management are in any way implicated in the current problems, and none were privy to the underlying options until the past few days.”
Artists associated with EA are already taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
