Remember the infamous “blood rave” scene from the 1998 movie Blade? On Halloween night, it will become a reality for Dutch partygoers.
In an interview with English-language Dutch news company NL Times, the anonymous organizers of the Amsterdam-based event admitted that they want to move away from the standard costume parties and offer something “rawer and more exciting.” Unsurprisingly, as a result of this “extreme” event, they expect to bring in a “freaky” crowd of people.
Although they are still trying to figure out if it’s possible to use real blood, they plan on using the same sprinkler system that was featured in the iconic action/horror film to deliver up to 5000 litres of blood on their vampiric revelers.
“After a long search we have developed a special sprinkler system with pipes running across the ceiling and thus making us able to spray blood over the crowd. We’ve already tested it a number of times a substance resembling blood. It is pushing the borders, but we want to see how far we can go.”
