LA duo Bixel Boys continue to defy the odds and show that no genre is safe with their newest production, a remix of Thomas Newson’s Don’t Hold Us. The two have categorized their remix as “Big Room Underground” on their SoundCloud page, which seems to be an apt description of the remix considering their use of garage/industrial sounds and electro boom. The combination of these influences blend together beautifully to form a highly energetic track with bursts of perfectly placed vocals from Angelika Vee. The remix is a great showcase for the duo to continue to flex their production muscles, proving that no matter the genre the two can put together an infectiously well-produced track. The remix is going to be released through Armada Music and will be available for download on Beatport on May 19th and iTunes and Spotify on June 2nd.
Additionally, the duo are currently running a contest where ten winners will be drafted onto the Bixel Boys #FREELIFE roster. These winners will be given one of the coveted #FREELIFE jerseys that the group mentions on their site “is something that is earned, not purchased.” Head over to the contest page for details on how to enter.
