Get ready to add another dubstep duo to your “must-see” list: Document One. Oxford boys Matt King and Joe Froud have found a way to bring a touch of class to a usually grimy genre, but that’s not to say they don’t like to get down and dirty when it comes to their music. Their latest EP off of talent-packed (and very underrated) Never Say Die Records, Breakdown, gives us quality dance floor beats with an ever-so-healthy supply of bass.
This massive release is golden down to the last song. The title track is a perfect blend of textbook dubstep with standout production that proves uncommon in such a flooded genre. Clap is a definite show-stopper. Its unique melody and creative, playful execution shows that Document One knows how to finely balance and showcase their skills.
