Over are the days of haphazardly searching through Discogs’ full website on your tiny phone screen, as their new mobile app promises to streamline and organize everything into a neat iOS and Android-compatible version.
Known to be one of the largest resources for vinylphiles and physical copy purists, Discogs has kept the tradition of vinyl and CDs alive. By adopting a mobile app, users can now access the site’s ever-growing catalog of music on the fly, create wishlists, manage their personal collection, and check prices. Previously Discogs fanatics could use secondary apps like MilkCrate and Discollector to organize their collection and search through the online marketplace, but Discogs’ own version hopes to render secondary parties unnecessary.
Despite the fancy mobile capabilities, users will be unable to make purchases in-app with the first version of the app. Look for the Discogs mobile app out in the first quarter of 2016.
