Well, it’s finally happened…Disco Diaries has officially reached senior citizen status. Assuming our weekly playlists have aged like fine wine, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the big 6-5 with some of the grooviest cats in the game. Cheers!

POOM – De la vitesse à l’ivresse [Partyfine]
Let’s start things off slow and sexy with the latest by French electropop outfit POOM. According to Google Translate, “de la vitesse à l’ivresse” means “speed to drunkenness”…can’t say we’ve ever heard that phrase sound this classy. The single is out via fellow French producer Yuksek’s Partyfine label–cop it here.

NTEIBINT feat. Stella – The Owner [Eskimo]
With Anoraak’s recent Odds Are Good and Du Tonc’s Animals, Eskimo Records has been on a roll with superb nu disco releases as of late. The Owner just got added to the bunch, and we have to say they’ve truly outdone themselves with this one. Catch the full Beatport package, including remixes by Justin Faust and Anoraak, here.

Kartell feat. J – Rican – All I Have [Roche Musique]
French DJ/producer Kartell recently released his Tender Games album, and if you haven’t heard it yet, please stop everything you’re doing and indulge now. In typical Roche Musique fashion, the EP is filled with babymaking jams that are guaranteed to light the flame between you and that special someone. All I Have is our personal favorite–find yours here.

Patrick Baker – Present Tense
Aside from being featured on several of Lane 8’s singles, Nashville-based singer/songwriter/producer Patrick Baker is making a name for himself with a string of powerful solo releases. Present Tense features smooth, sensual lyrics and a tropical house beat, written and produced by Baker himself. Download it for free here.

Midnight Pool Party – Disease
With Darren Morilla on vocals and keys and Oliver Dela Cruz on guitar, bass, and production, Midnight Pool Party is a two-man band that has perfected the classic disco sound we all know and love. Their latest release further verifies their motto, “Disco will never die.” I dare you to try and not let it get stuck in your head. iTunes purchase here.
