Disco Diaries 43: Curated By Durante
Garrett David - The Pressure

Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Durante made quite the impression on the LessThan3 team with the beautiful Slow Burn, which landed him on our recent top nu disco tracks of 2014. He’s continued to gain steam over the past year with a breathtaking edit of Laurel’s Shells. Durante expressed his gratitude to fans today with a free download of a fiery dancefloor original, Full Moon.

With all the pieces in place, it only makes sense to invite the young producer to curate his own edition of Disco Diaries. Below you will find a special selection of his favorite jams, ones that have influenced his own music and ones that he often spins for house-loving audiences. We hope you enjoy the tunes, and be sure to keep an eye on the very talented Durante in 2015.

Garrett David – The Pressure
Real analog house music that’s coming out of Chicago right now. Really great to see a city and its people sticking to its roots.

Matrix – Get Out (Mad Mix) [Madhouse]
I remember hearing this with some friends in a Kerri Chandler mix. We played this track back at least three times trying to figure out what it was because the vocal was too hysterical to pass up.

Volkoder & Tapesh – Rascal (Original Mix) [Suara]
This record always gets the crowd going. Love playing this one out.

Franz Alice Stern – To Survive (Original Mix) [Poesie Musik]
The SoundCloud preview doesn’t really do this record justice. I feel the lyrics speak a lot of truth about the youth of this digital age.

Maceo Plex – Conjure Superstar [Kompakt]
This record is a perfect example of why Maceo Plex is one of my favorite producers. The way he grows and layers his songs is a true work of art.
