Disclosure dropped their first new original in two years on Annie Mac’s radio show today, sharing Bang That with fans awaiting their sophomore album.
The brotherly duo Guy and Howard Lawrence are credited with giving initial momentum to house and garage music’s modern-day popularity with the tunes found on their debut LP Settle. Our first taste of their follow-up release sees the guys lean harder into club space than much of Settle with Bang That, a chunky house cut rivaled in energy perhaps only by When A Fire Starts To Burn.
Billboard confirms that the album will be out this year.
“Album 2 is very much underway,” Guy told Billboard’s Andrew Hampp April 7 in New York, where Disclosure was DJing a Samsung launch event. “We’re still not sure of an exact date, but people will definitely be hearing music this year,” Howard said.
