In an impressive answer to the star-studded Grammy Awards, The UK’s Brit Awards will feature a joint performance from 2013 icons Lorde and Disclosure.
Lorde did a fine job conquering the American awards show on her own Jan. 26 with awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her massive hit Royals. The brothers Lawrence went home empty-handed, but they’ll have a chance to bring home a Brit Awards with nominations in the British Group, British Breakthrough Act, British Single (White Noise), and Mastercard British Album Of The Year (Settle) categories. Lorde has a chance to add a Brit to her trophy case in the International Female Solo Artist category.
As a dream collab we’ve been begging the music gods for since they made their respective marks on the scene, a Disclosure and Lorde original would make us giddier than 17-year-old girls hanging out with older boys–just not in reference to Lorde in particular. She probably makes the guys a bit nervous.
