Dillon Francis Toys With ‘Some Chords’ In First ‘5 Years of mau5′ Remix
deadmau5 - Some Chords (Dillon Francis Remix) [mau5trap]

Remember that career-spanning remix album that deadmau5 is dropping at the end of November? Well we have our first taste of the LP with the arrival of Dillon Francis’ remix of Some Chords.

Aiming to highlight deadmau5′ back catalogue alongside A-list remixes of the Canadian producer’s five most recent albums, 5 Years of mau5 sees its first remix coming off Joel Zimmerman’s third studio LP 4×4=12. Francis takes the 2010 single Some Chords and transforms it from a slow-building progressive house ballad into a tenacious, club-ready cut from start to finish. Francis wastes no time in detonating his deadly drops–throwing in burst after burst of supercharged synth and offering little reprieve from a barrage of battering beats.

5 Years of mau5 is out Nov. 25 via mau5trap. Dillon Francis’ debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule is out Oct. 27 on Columbia.
