If you haven’t been following Dillon Francis on Twitter yet, well you definitely should; he’s downright hilarious and his antics have even earned the following of Taco Bell, which follows only seven accounts. But fun and games aside, his brilliant productions still outshine even his funniest stunts and most epic trolls. Just today, Dillon released one of his finest productions to date, Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up), out on the Calvin Harris imprint Fly Eye Records. He’s very proud of his work here and well he should be; its mean bass drops hook you in, the retro vocal samples tickle your senses, and its arm-raising breakdown is spectacularly melodic. Be sure to grab this moombahton monster here off Beatport!
Releasing on Calvin’s music label has also afforded Dillon the opportunity to work with the superstar DJ. The pair produced a downright ugly track called Here 2 China with London rapper Dizzee Rascal, a tune that would fit perfectly in an aggressive trap set. Having also recently hinted at making a collab with Tiesto, it’s clear that he’s got the attention of the world’s biggest names. However, Dillon is still very much involved with the up-and-comers too; just recently he got together with Kill Paris to produce an incredibly catchy version of Where Did I Go?, which was included on Monsta’s fresh new OWSLA EP.
If you’re going to be in SoCal this weekend, remember to pickup tickets to see him at HARD’s Day Of The Dead before they go up in price tonight!
