LA-based outfit Digitalism offered fans a luminous look inside the duo’s newfound sound in Wolves, out now on Magnetism.
İsmail “Isi” Tüfekçi and Jens “Jence” Moelle shared an old cut from the Digi-vault in Hamburg back in January, along with the announcement that they’ll be sacrificing face time for studio time while letting their newly reimagined musical approach serve as their image instead.
The first cut representing this mentality has arrived in Wolves. Crystalline string plucks form a rope ladder leading from the intro to an awe-inspiring vantage point of the new Digitalism sound, this time offering warm progressive synths hoisted up by layered claps and a driving kick drum.
The guys promise a heap of new stuff between now and next year, so pick up your copy on Beatport here, and keep an eye on these two as by-products of their evolution continue to surface.
