deadmau5′ Double Album Is Done

deadmau5 fans, your day of glory approaches. Joel Zimmerman, aka deadmau5, took to Twitter last night to announce that he has completed what will be a two-disc artist album.

As his tweet states, we’re not just getting any old album, but 25 tracks in two continuous mixes. No word on a release date yet, but check back soon.

In other mau5 news, Mixmag reports that Space, one of Miami’s premiere nightclubs, has reached out to deadmau5 in hopes of holding a free show. After much public distaste for the Miami club scene and the operating standard of promoters and clubs in general, this offer likely looks pretty good to the mau5, especially after Space offered $25k for travel and lodging. deadmau5 has always been very public about the money he makes, how little he needs it, and the resulting mentality of funnelling most profit back into his stunning live performances, so Space might be on the exact right track with their offer and Facebook post directed at him, below.

Dear Joel deadmau5

We read with great interest about your recent show in Miami, and your concerns about fans being placed in the back of the venue while trust fund kids paid premium prices to be placed in front of the DJ booth…

We would like to extend an invitation for you to make these fans happy by hosting a free show for them at our legendary venue, Space. We will extend complimentary admission to all your fans and they will be able to enjoy your music on our huge dance floor without trust fund kids or anything else between you and them.

Space will cover your expenses up to $25,000 for your choice of private plane and five-star hotel so that you can come down and give your fans the opportunity to see you for free and experience you up close, the way you intended.

Please give your fans and Miami another opportunity to show you just how great this city is to perform in and how much we love having you here.

Shortly after, Space posted this to their wall:

Looks like deadmau5 will be with us – keep it here for the confirmed date.

We’ll update you with more on the free show and forthcoming album when information is available, but expect the loads of new music he’s been putting out since leaving Ultra to be included on this massive release.
