David Guetta Details New LP As ‘Most Personal Album Yet’

Before performing his headlining set at what was possibly the last Electric Zoo, David Guetta gave The Wall Street Journal an update on his upcoming sixth studio album.

Saying the album was “completely different than anything I’ve ever done before,” Guetta revealed that it is easily his “most personal album yet.” Following the success of his multi-platinum album Nothing but the Beat, the French producer aspires to make his sixth studio LP a more song-based and emotional record than his previous efforts. Going into some detail about his recording process, Guetta said that he has mostly been working alone. While there will be a number of collaborations on the record, Guetta stated that he wanted to perfect the album by himself before sharing it with others in an effort to create what he hopes is a timeless EDM record.

I just wanted to push myself to the max, and then play it [to] others. I know I can make beats that make people dance, so now the challenge is to create the best possible music and songs that are timeless.

The release date for the currently untitled album has yet to be set.
