David Guetta Announces Album Release Date, New Track Next Week

Fresh off his Sunday night set at TomorrowWorld, David Guetta took over the SiriusXM Hits 1 Twitter account yesterday to reveal some massive information about his upcoming album and new single.

A record three years in the making and his first since the chart-smashing Nothing but the Beat, Guetta revealed to Beatport at TomorrowWorld that he planned to finishing the final product today (Oct. 1).

I’m in the middle of finishing my album this week. I’ve been working on it for three years. I have one more week to finish, I’m actually super stressed. Not even in a week… Wednesday!

The French superstar, who recently detailed that his sixth studio album was his “most personal album yet,” also gave out some additional information, like how many tracks the album has and that he recently shot a “crazy” new video for one of the songs. According to Guetta, there will be a total of 14 tracks on the first version of the album, but he had a hard time narrowing down which ones to put on the record because he “recorded so many.” This most likely means that Guetta will follow suit with his two previous albums by releasing a deluxe edition next year with a handful of bonus tracks.

The record is naturally full of collaborations, but Guetta refused to go into detail about who specifically contributed to the album.

It’s likely that we will find out who one of the contributors is on Oct. 6, when Guetta drops the first single from the album. The full record will be out Nov. 24.
