When Anjunadeep wants to bring out bottomless beat,s they know to go with the 16 Bit Lolitas. From the beautiful city of Amsterdam, Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock have been pumping out releases for nearly a decade and started their own label, Bits & Pieces, in 2007. In 2009 their Nobody Seems To Care production introduced these two to a much larger audience as it became the introductory track for Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep: 01 mix compilation. They also had three tracks make it onto this year’s Anjunadeep: 02, mixed by Jaytech and James Grant. Attracting more and more fame, they even captured the attention of Irish producer Silinder, who recently produced an incredible mashup using Murder Weapon.
To launch their new project Bug Report, they have released the endearingly nerdy Troubleshooter. Similar to works by Eric Prydz, this production is a flowing river of techy computer sounds and glowing pads. Introducing this entrancing track would certainly complete any night’s set. This past June they also released their intensely dark Re-Murdered. This one is somewhat of a musical journey from start to finish, incorporating many retro, trance, and techno elements. To round out this write-up, earlier this year they slowed the beat down a bit and blended deep house beats, melodic guitars and pianos, and a catchy voice sample in The Promised Loop.
