Britain’s Dan Stone (pictured) and Poland’s Nitrous Oxide are both legends on the trance scene as purveyors of solid uplifting bangers. Having previously collaborated on Nautica a couple of years ago, they’ve joined forces again for another fine effort in the shape of Huayra.
It’s not clear if Huayra is named for the mental supercar or the Inca God that the car takes its name from, but like both this track is all about power and energy. Between the solid kicks, the rolling bass, the enourmous pads and the massive saw riffs, this is exactly what made these guys big in the first place–the production may be serious, but it’s all about creating a feel-good track that rocks a dancefloor or even just helps get you out of bed in the morning. Much like the supercar, trance was always about intense effort behind the scenes with an end product designed to put a smile on your face, and that’s exactly what this track achieves.
