KillSonik - Leviathan

HOLY SHIP!!! That’s A Great Lineup

While it seems the HARD folks aren’t continuing their tradition of adding an exclamation point to the title each year, the Holy Ship!!! 2014 lineup, announced today, is definitely something to exclaim about.

Holy Ship 2014 Lineup

Seasoned and salty sea dogs like Skrillex, A-Trak, Diplo, Zedd, and more will be joined by green first-timers like Disclosure and Flosstradamus to make this year’s edition of the world’s most famous floating rave one for the books, err… captain’s logs. Scope the full lineup above, and you might as well hop on the waiting list while you’re yearning to go.

Brave The Deep With KillSonik

In their latest bass-heavy banger, London-based KillSonik takes us out to the middle of the ocean during a nasty storm for a showdown with an outright monster of the deep (tones).

Leviathan submerges listeners in a turbulent sea of sharp synth work and swirling guitar riffs for a feeling like being dragged down by a gigantic ocean beast. The fight seems to intensify until the end, until a single string note plays off one of our fighters. But which one? Doesn’t matter. It’s still free to download.

Quack is Back

Duck Sauce

Perfect. Just when I needed something to put on my… duck? Anyway, A-Trak and Armand Van Helden are back with more Duck Sauce for your disco fries, and they’ve set a date for their latest release. A very minimal site went up yesterday with the words “Quack is Back” and “‘It’s You’ – June 25.”

The page also loops an initially warm and nostalgic vocal sample presumably from the track. I say Initially because you’re not going to want to leave the window open for long.

ATTN NYC: Pitchfork reports that although they are not playing the Governor’s Ball, “…something Duck Sauce-related is happening at Governor’s Island this weekend.” Keep your eyes open.

Floss and Sliink Know CROWD CTRL

The Hoodie Boyz Flosstradamus and Jersey veteran DJ Sliink showcased some serious turnt up tour footage of the trapsters bringing venues to their knees in their latest official video out today. The video comes as the official accompaniment to the three producers’ recent collaboration, CROWD CTRL off the EP. Pick it up here.
