Hear that? It’s quiet… too quiet. It’s almost as if the world’s biggest DJs and party people are gathering in one place for a massive blowout. This is basically the calm before the weird berserker storm. We’ve got news for you, although we’re pretty sure the only letters anyone will comprehend for the next three days, and possibly for days after that, are E-D-C.

Cedric Celebrates The Young & Beautiful
Cedric Gervais is back with another remix of Lana Del Rey, this time putting a huge club feeling on the sensual Young & Beautiful. Miami’s main man by way of France has a style that always mixes well with Lana’s luscious voice on remixes, which explains why he continually reworks her material so well. His latest venture premiered on Rolling Stone today and features the same impassioned vocals pumped up with pads, piano, and a playful lead that ushers in each drop. Big ups for a big tune tailor-made for peak club time in Miami Beach. Head over to RS to listen.
Danny Avila Shocks With Voltage
As the youngest member of the Las Vegas resident DJ club, Danny Avila has been pretty busy over the past few months. But between a new radio show, a birthday set at Ministry Of Sound, and a staggering tour schedule, he’s managed to put together a new single, Voltage, out July 19 on Spinnin’ Records. The track is a large and bold piece of big room house and a nice milestone in the young producer’s career, marking a noticeable improvement in his overall production. Watching this rising star heat up should be quite interesting.
Boys Noize Is Still Going Hard
Push Em Up either refers to eating the popular children’s ice cream popsicle, or joining a sea of hands and elbows losing it to another trap number from Alex Ridha. Overall, the experimental Go Hard EP simply reminds what a versatile musician he is. The full EP is due Monday, and you can listen to the other four previews here.
On a much more serious note, the late great DJ AM will be memorialized in a Kevin Kerslake documentary titled As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM. The film’s trailer premiered during a panel at EDMBiz; Hollywood Reporter writes that the documentary will feature friends of AM’s like Steve Aoki and Pasquale Rotella, and a portion of proceeds will go to the DJ AM Memorial Fund and eventually help with addiction and recovery services.
