From Star Wars to The Beatles, fan art has long been a tradition for die-hard creatives who want to artistically honor their idols. A new exhibit in San Francisco shows that Daft Punk definitely has some of the most loyal and innovative fans out there.
2013 ReDiscovery Exhibit
Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco is currently hosting Daft Punk Deux, the second installment of their ReDiscovery showcase. The exhibit features a collection of Daft Punk-inspired fan art and includes works from over 40 “painters, sculptors, digital and screen print artists” inspired by “Daft Punk’s music videos, extraordinary visuals of their live performances, and their robot personas.”
The first installment came with last year’s ReDiscovery showcase, held just before the release of the duo’s Grammy Award-winning album Random Access Memories.
Although the exhibit traveled to Los Angeles the first time around, no other locations are currently scheduled for this show other than San Francisco. If you can’t make it out to San Francisco to see the artwork, you can check out some of the pieces featured in the exhibit below.
