Alfred Darlington aka Daedelus, the eclectic LA beatmaker with an affinity for robotic design and Victorian-era fashion, released a new video for Platforming, the first cut off of his upcoming Looking Ocean EP. Mixing UK house chords with Chicago-style footwork, Platforming is a jittery thrill-ride forever climbing a metallic scale. The Scion A/V produced video features a light show given by robotic arms, accurately capturing the track’s essesnce.
Daedelus, who released an excellent podcast for LessThan3 in February, is also repping a cover of Platforming by futurist jazz ensemble Kneebody as well as talking about a possible collaborative EP. You can listen to Kneebody’s rework here.
Looking Ocean is due out on October 16th on Scion A/V.
