Cut Copy Shares New Video, Announces ‘Free Your Mind’ Deluxe Edition

Australian synth-psych outfit Cut Copy shared a talk show-themed new video for their track Meet Me in a House of Love this week, and announced that they will release a deluxe edition of their 2013 LP Free Your Mind.

The video stars Ben Sinclair, the co-creator and star of the web series High Maintenance. Sinclair plays a late-night host who interviews cardboard cutouts of the band, until he finally “frees his mind” and jams to his heart’s content.

Cut Copy will release a deluxe version of Free Your Mind that will feature five brand new tracks from the band. According to frontman Dan Whitford, the making of the album was very organic and left the band with a stack of unused music that didn’t quite make the cut for the record’s initial release. “The process for making Free Your Mind was very open ended with all of us in the band letting musical ideas emerge rather than going in with a strong vision or style,” Whitford said. “So it was inevitable that some ideas – even some of our personal favourites – weren’t going to fit perfectly into the final track list once the album had begun to take shape.”
