Over the past few years Dutch DJ/Producer Hardwell has given my music library some really solid remixes and productions alike. Although he’s a relative newcomer to the scene, Hardwell has gained the support of House giants like Chris Lake, Fedde Le Grand, and Claude Von Stroke. Like I said, his productions have always been crisp and consistent, but I was never really wowed. Until now.
His latest single Molotov is a techy-house bomb from start to finish. Played loudly, it becomes obvious that this tune carries an atmosphere that other artists struggle to create. The breakdown is reminiscent of a Swedish House Mafia song, which is probably one of the highest compliments you can give a house song these days. This original piece by Hardwell is indicative of his confidence to not only make a top-notch classic house song, but his ability to hit the vein when it comes to injecting a track with modern influences.
I’m also posting the Apster remix of this track, another fresh artist out of the Netherlands with a huge future ahead of him. This raunchy fidgety-electro remix strays a great deal from Hardwell’s original, but the quality is still there. Be sure to checkout some of his monster remixes on Beatport.
