Club Dada
Dada Life - Fight Club Is Closed (It's Time For Rock & Roll) (Original Mix) [Spinnin']

The first rule of Dada Life is you don’t talk about Dada Life. The second rule of Dada Life is you DON’T talk about Dada Life. Well, I don’t care; I’m breaking the rules to bring you their newest single, Fight Club Is Closed. If you haven’t heard about Dada Life by now, then you’ve been living under a rock. They’ve been relentless with their releases this year and have smashed up dancefloors from Los Angeles to Miami to Ibiza. Known for their quirky and hard take on electro house, these guys have been leading the way in productions and remixes for some time now. Today’s track sees a continued level of quality from the Swedish duo.

This song is all about rock and roll (I think?). The lyrics go, “Fight club is closed, It goes from hot to cold. No pimps or hoes, It’s time for rock and roll.” Interpret those lyrics as you will, but the end product is great. Compared to their past productions, this track seems somewhat tame. It doesn’t bang as hard as their other songs, but instead seems like some kind of European pop/electro hybrid. I could imagined this one getting a hard makeover from DJs wanting to put a little extra “umph” into it. The verdict? A great, lighter song from Dada Life. But then again, when have they ever done wrong?
