From the land of the rising sun comes another breakthrough smash from the young and insanely talented Nhato. A LessThan3 favorite and part of Japanese partner label Otographic Music, the star’s name has been all over our site, including but not limited to his #2 spot in the Top 20 Trance Tracks of 2010 countdown. If you haven’t heard his stuff yet, now is the time. His music spans a wide variety of genres and even trailblazes new ones such as trancestep, as heard in his remix of Yoji’s Surrender. Yes, I said trancestep.
This time the quickly-rising maestro puts forth an offering in the form of a techno/tech trance piece. As with all of his other productions, his remix of Citizen Kane by Tempo Giusto (pictured) is filled with incredible detail and style through and through. The song’s unique blend of techno elements almost make it seem like the song is dancing with us and not vice versa–it’s just got that sort of “rave in a haunted mansion” kind of feel to it. He also carefully teases with an interesting synth line throughout the track before properly reintroducing it during the build. All in all, this track is that perfect kinda late-night rocker that can easily fit into a wide variety of sets.
