Out of the smoldering ashes of a global remix competition for the upcoming Chase & Status single Time, the renowned drum’n’bass/dubstep duo chose Kev Willow, a real EDM vet from Liverpool, to have the honors. Tastefully chopping the impassioned vocals by Delilah, gathering massive momentum with trancey leads, and rocking another one of his unparalleled dubstep basslines, Kevin has undoubtedly shown the world he’s a pro.
So what else is Kev Willow famous for? He has earned a solid name across EDM map for his banging electro house and ass-kicking UK hardcore. Last year Kevin went big with dubstep, pwning YouTube with well over one million views for a murderous rendition of One by the Swedish House Mafia under alias “The Prototype.”
Built on a mountain of emotion, Time’s deep lyrics have also been expressed in a powerful music video (see below) detailing the struggle of a daughter neglected by her parents who are absorbed in an abusive relationship. I have to say with utmost sincerity that this was one of the most touching music videos I’ve ever encountered, and it also supports the UK charity named Refuge for women and children who have become victims of domestic violence.
