Hailing from Queens, New York, Touvan Sughiarto grew up listening to electronic groups like The Crystal Method and The Prodigy. Determined to practice music production himself, Revolvr studied at school, but later commented, “the most important thing to remember is that no one alone is going to teach you, you truly have to discover for yourself” in an interview with Beatport. The effort paid off in 2011, when his electro-dubstep collaboration with DJ Red and DJ Scotty Boy, Warface, and his remix of Beats Inside My Head topped the Beatport electro charts and gained support from big names like Tiesto, Porter Robinson, and Lazy Rich.
His new electro release, The Beat Goes On speaks for itself, taking the Revolvr sound to the next level. Wicked hard-thumping tech beats lays the ground for a massive big-room sound. For a grimier electro experience, make sure to check out the DirtyRock remix. Don’t forget to also check out the track that started it all–the aforementioned Warface.
