In honor of their decade-long standing among the world’s most exalted house music imprints, the European-based Cadenza crew recently bestowed on us a tasteful, 24-track compilation, reminiscing on the label’s bountiful string of prior releases.
Established back in 2002 by the resourceful hands of Luciano, Cadenza has steadily secured a prestigious reputation throughout its fertile history as a record agency. Following its memorable inception, the auspicious brand has opened doors for aspiring producers, fueling the early careers of Reboot, Cesar Merveille, and several other international talents.
Deeply appreciative of his exploits as a label owner, Luciano clarifies:
“Cadenza is a space for music to grow, rise and blossom. It is an accessible platform created to receive new people, projects and their influences. By continuously searching and progressing, we are a part of the evolution. We are all spiritual people, free as our music, and we live for that reason.”
As a gesture of gratitude toward the artists and supporters who’ve contributed to the label’s ongoing triumphs, Cadenza’s latest compilation, available now, envelops a handful of distinguished selections derived directly from the team’s expansive archives. Featuring more than three hours of profound productions, their momentous release reflects the widespread musical territory that has long since defined Cadenza’s cultivated legacy.
From Luciano’s classic grade of quirky minimal, to Uner’s organic breadth of instrumental techno, the 10-year anniversary compilation bears it all. Accompanying the album’s clear-cut singles (including the 2012 club anthem, Rise of Angel), the label also encloses a variety of tracks from its more humbled constituents: Alex Picone, Mirko Loko, and Valentino Kanzyani.
All-in-all, Cadenza has presented yet another compelling anthology to bolster its considerable catalog, which already boasts over 90 different EPs, full-lengths, and compilations. Pick up the entire release right here on Beatport.
