Tristan D (short for Dorian) is known for his hard trance beats, big-room sound, and his prodigy-like progression into the spotlight. He started promoting his own club nights at only 14, and by 18 had secured a residency at Heaven in London. There he played next to Armin van Buuren, Graham Gold, and Judge Jules, and continued on to play at Ministry of Sound.
One interesting track I recently got ahold of is The Morning After, which features the classic Tristan D style–trancey, enveloping, and full of energy. A majestic orchestral synth is slightly reminiscent of a Tiesto sample, though the track itself is not. The track is very melodic and balanced–the type of dance that you can chill with on your iPod, but still gets you going at a show. We’re looking forward to Tristan’s next move and how he’ll shape his direction in the trance world. For now, we’ll keep listening.
