Never Enough Love
Codec - Be Yourself (Original Mix) [Black Butter]
Kidnap Kid - Vehl (Jonty Skrufff No Mercy Remix) [Black Butter]
Hostage - Hold It Now (Original Mix) [Black Butter]

Black Butter Records has just released its highly anticipated first compilation of the Spread Love series, and its breadth of quality is staggering to say the least. For those unfamiliar with Spread Love, it’s a series of EPs Black Butter has released for free in 192kbps format, showcasing music from their stunning artist roster. Just last week, the red-hot label dropped the fifth installment of the series featuring Edinburgh producer Hostage, and now it, along with the entire series, can be had in all of its 320kbps glory in this single compilation.

While every tune on this release is amazing in its own right, some particular highlights are Be Yourself by Codec, Jonty Skrufff’s remix of Kidnap Kid’s Vehl, and Hold It Now by Hostage. As illustrated by these three tunes, the entire compilation is filled with styles ranging from future bass to deep house, and each producer included on the album brings a surprisingly complimentary and unique set of vibes. It should also be noted that we covered a Spread Love release from Black Butter stalwart RackNRuin a few weeks ago, which can also be found on this brand new compilation. To check out the rest of the track list or purchase Spread Love, head over to the Black Butter website. For those that want more Black Butter and will be in the London area on February 22nd, don’t miss their upcoming event at the Village Underground featuring performances from several of their marquee artists.
