Bixel Boys returned with a new EP, Bring It On, released today on Nurvous Records.
The two-track EP is the second for the duo after their hugely popular Black December EP that was released back in September. Since then, they’ve seen a ton of support from the likes of Congorock, MAKJ, and Kastle as well as many others with their tracks being featured in more and more artists’ sets and mixes all the time.
The title track of the EP, Bring It On, has an almost tribal sound to it and is mentioned as being a “marching band inspired ripper.” The chopped-up cheerleader vocals and snares keep the track bouncing along and give way to massive brass band stabs that form an extremely upbeat, techy house track. CPR is the second track of the EP and is a slower, “warehouse inspired 113bpm grind-house electro burner” that includes cardiac CPR sounds throughout. It’s slightly darker than Bring It On and complements it well by bringing the BPM down a bit without sacrificing any of the energy. As with their previous EP, you can expect to hear these tracks in a number of sets and mixes in the months to come.
