Despite being a legendary trance act as a result of their debut release, the re-formed Binary Finary have re-made a name for themselves of late. The duo has always prided itself on breaking boundaries and has recently found that the best way to achieve this is by working with a number of different producers.
Monster is Binary Finary’s second track in a row with Polish producer Kris Maydak, and it’s a fitting name for a track that combines big, uplifting trance breaks with drops that verge heavily on electro. Big, lush pads and hypnotic synth arps give way to forceful melodies and ultimately, bouncy and acidic electro, which has more than a hint of old school hard house about it. It’s innovative but well honed, as Monster is reminiscent of their earlier, lesser known works.
