Techno | Camea – The Hallway EP [Bpitch Control]
Hot off her Full Body Workout mix for Get Physical, Berlin-based Camea returns with an incredible three tracker through BPitch, The Hallway. A combination of peak time techno and kaleidoscopic tech house, Camea’s ever-evolving sound can be heard as clearly on this EP the Funktion One stacks these tracks will surely be playing from in the coming weeks. Get the EP here.
Tech House | Adam Beyer – Time Flies EP [Truesoul]
Here we find Adam Beyer taking a rare outing from Drumcode and a rare departure from techno on his new Time Flies EP. Landing on Truesoul, the big Swede serves up three prime cuts of shoulder-shuffling, hip-shaking tech house. Tiger Stripes goes a little off piste on the remix duty, with oddball vibes emanating. The pick of the bunch here is Waste Land–a true club roller. Pick it up here.
Breaks/House/Progressive | Cazzette – Together Remixes [ICONS]
Swedish duo Cazzette’s first single off their upcoming EP Desserts has been given two completely unique remixes by LA duo Lost Kings and Anjuna rising star Beckwith. The former twist the track into a progressive, piano-driven smile-inducer, while the latter goes completely left field with a remix that sits somewhere between deep, progressive, and breakbeat. Not what we were expecting, but certainly left us pleasantly surprised. Download the package here.
Progressive House | Eric Prydz – Opus (Original Mix) [Pryda]
Needing no introduction, former Swedish House Mafia member and true prog house superstar Eric Prydz releases his highly anticipated follow up to Generate, Opus. Staying far from the typical EDM sound of his Scandanavian contemporaries, Opus is an exercise in the masterfully articulated arpeggiation and tension-building drive that defines the sound of peak hour progressive house. The kick doesn’t even come in for almost four minutes–that’s old school. Grab it here.
Trance | ReOrder & Standerwick pres. Skypatrol – Shut Up! (Original Mix) [FSOE]
Princes of blow-you-hair-back trance ReOrder and Ian Standerwick unite once again under their Skypatrol superduo name for Shut Up!, a track that will leave you at a loss for words almost from the start. Then you get to the drop, and the words get smacked right out of your mouth again. Quite the appropriate track title. Purchase here.
