RAM & Susana - Someone Like You (Bobina Remix) [Black Hole]

Welcome back to our series with Beatport known as The Beatport Box, where we bring you the best of Beatport exclusives on a weekly basis. This week, dirtybird provides some key set tracks for DJs in large, echoing rooms, Bobina revisits Someone Like You, and more.

House/Tech | Various Artists – If You Find Yourself In A Large Room Vol. 1 [dirtybird]

dirtybird has started a new series for when DJs find themselves in big, echoey rooms, and it’s appropriately called If You Find Yourself In A Large Room. Featuring tracks from Kill Frenzy, Will Clarke, and more, Vol. 1 has been “battle tested” by Claude VonStroke himself for large room purposes, and passed with flying colors. Pick it up here.

Deep/Tech | Sei A – Gasp EP [Aus]

Sei A returns on Aus with some more shoulder shufflin’ business with his three-track Gasp EP. The title track has a swagger and swing to accompany the classic deep house vocal sample, definitely a floor-mover. The other two tracks are different beasts altogether, though; slow, moody, and synth-led. These tracks twist and turn with a psychedelic, afterparty vibe. Get the EP here.

Techno | Anton Pieete – Teleporter EP [Rejected]

Joris Voorn’s Rejected label is the home for Anton Pieete’s newest slice of techno goodness, the Teleporter EP. While the tracks showcased here are rooted by heavy kicks and big basslines, they’re framed by pretty melodies and soulful samples, giving a fantastic juxtaposition to each one. A personal pick is Hundreds with its dusty percussion pads. Be transported here.

Trance | RAM & Susana – Someone Like You (Bobina Remix) [Black Hole]

Bobina’s take on RAM and Susana’s trance hit Someone Like You wastes zero time in bring the energy level up to 9000, with an intro so bombastic you’ll think it’s the drop. Then the beautiful vocals of Susana come in laden with strings and piano before they’re hit with a rapidfire uplifting drop. Beautiful and energetic–Bobina’s specialties. Grab it here.
