Dutch DJ and producer Bart Claessen is a producer at a prime level. I remember playing Claessen’s Playmo (1st play) back in 2005 on repeat, and his new track, King Of Kongs, is no exception. This release has gained support from mega DJs such as Gareth Emery, W&W, Ferry Corsten, and many others.
The tick-tocking of a clock starts off King Of Kongs into an old school house lead that just blows up and wants to be played in a big room. The lead has an echoey slight reminiscence of Da Hool’s Meet Her At The Love Parade. However, it’s the modern progressive sensibilities that set this apart from classics of old though. After the second breakdown the track goes hard, throwing in an arpeggiated chorus before apexing and finally subsiding. King Of Kongs is available from Beatport here.
