Los Angeles-based production duo by the name of Bad Language unleashed their take of Ace Wilder’s Busy Doin’ Nothin’ earlier this week through Warner Music Group, and let’s just say that no one was expecting the ’90s pop tune to be transformed into this.
They’ve chopped up a short sample from the chorus, incorporated a groovy, bouncy bass to complement it, and added a steady percussive beat to pull the track all together. Oh, and did I mention there’s a dangerously charming saxophone hook as well? With all of these elements in just one track, this remix can be best categorized a flawless fusion of jazzy, melodic house and the bass-infused deep techno–it even received special kudos from Ace Wilder herself via Twitter.
The first time we heard from Bad Language was with their deep/tech remix of Brass Knuckles’ As Long As I’m Alive, and although they’ve chosen to keep their identities anonymous since then, we’re definitely satisfied as long as they keep pumping out tunes like this. Grab your free download of this remix today, and keep an eye out for more to come from Bad Language in the near future.
