Any song that opens up with a funky ’80s vibe is fine by me. Cue in Com Truise. While Datebar has been in the pipelines for a while now, it’s not until recently that the track hit the public eye, and since it reminds me of Back to the Future and a young Michael J. Fox, I couldn’t help but write it up. When I hear experimental music this good, it makes me really want to give props to the man behind the music; good looks, Com!
Datebar kicks off with a fun little vocal clip, before hitting the ground running, sounding like the opening track from an ’80s movie. The track can be described simply as fun, and more explicitly as an experimental, feel-good instant classic sauteed in pop and sprinkled with glitch. The synths are light and funky, and Com holds it down like a boss. You could close out a set with this and have the crowd leaving with a fat grin and a chill beat that sticks in your brain like sushi rice.
