Swedish phenom Alesso recently gave fans a preview of his forthcoming debut album with the progressive house anthem, Cool. Since its release, there have been a bevy of official and unofficial remixes of the catchy track by notable acts such as Sweater Beats, CRNKN, and A-Trak, to name few. Now, Chicago-based electronic music trio Autograf have supplied their own version of the buzzing tune, transforming the original’s soaring, big room arrangement into a swankier, French house number.
Autograf’s remix bears semblance to the Daft Punk sound, incorporating the highly filtered and resonant synth sound often deployed by the masked duo. Fortunately, Roy English’s vocals make it into Autograf’s rework completely intact, making this mix suitable theme music for the summertime.
The Autograf remix of Cool is out May 12 via Def Jam. Pre-order Alesso’s forthcoming album Forever ahead of its May 26 release date on iTunes here, and click here to purchase Alesso’s original version of Cool.
