Nate Rathbun has long been a firm favourite of ours, not just because he’s a talented young producer representing the rise of EDM, but also because his output is consistently the best of what the genre has to offer. Every release Audien puts out seems to strike a chord, in both a literal and a figurative sense, so it’s no surprise that his latest track Hindsight is another sure-fire hit.
It’s more of that winning Audien recipe of trance mixed with big room house–bright melodies, massive chord stabs, chilled breaks and epic drops. As always, the subtle nuances of Nate’s production style are what make the track: the little pitch-bends in the main melody, the prominent snare that drives the track, the synth lines that lie casually in the background but fill the track in a way that makes them vitally important. It’s the perfect example of how he has gone from a young newcomer on the scene to an established name synonymous with quality productions. We’ve always predicted a bright future for Audien, and it seems that future is already here.
