Disclosure tapped legendary house producer Armand Van Helden (pictured) to remix Holding On, the lead single from their upcoming sophomore album Caracal. The resulting mix of thumping drums, soulful vocals, and thunderous piano lines in the remix more than live up to Van Halden’s iconic expectations.
Though known by many in the modern era as one-half of the Duck Sauce tandem alongside A-Trak, Van Helden’s roots extend back some two decades into both America and the UK’s then-evolving house scenes. The idea that Van Helden is remixing Disclosure is significant because it’s entirely likely that productions made in the ’90s and 2000s by Van Helden have influences what Disclosure is making right now.
