Splyce, the fancy music player with audio and visual magical powers as the App Store calls it, will make you enjoy your music collection in a whole new way. It is the latest creation of Barcelona-based InQBarna, the same people who brought you other music apps like deej, TunerTool, and Riffer.
After a quick tutorial, you are directed to your own music library. Pick as many songs as you want, and you’re ready to go. First, the app will determine each song’s tempo. Tap any song to start. When the song is almost done, it seamlessly blends into the next one. You can control the way the songs are mixed, the duration of each song, or the order of songs based on speed. You can also decide how many seconds of overlap you want when blending into the next song. But amazing audio tricks are only the beginning.
The app really gets interesting when you play around with the aesthetics. Each song has a beautiful color representation and synchronized audio-visual effects. You can change the color of your home screen and choose the “lighting” setting to flash your phone’s backlight to the beat of the song.
If you really want to have a dance party, get yourself some Philips Hue bulbs and turn on the Philips Hue setting. Philips Hue is a wireless lighting system, and each LED bulb can create any color in the spectrum. Pair their new API with Splyce and you have the ability to change the lighting of the room to match the song playing using just your iPhone. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Splyce gives you so much control over the kind of listening experience you want to have. In a matter of seconds, you can create the perfect custom environment for studying, relaxing, or partying. Just sit back and enjoy the music. Get it here for free.
